My name is Marcelo Rocha. I'm a professional graphic designer, web designer and illustrator living in São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil.

WEB DESIGN

I'm very experienced with HTML, CSS and FLASH. For developing websites I use Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, Illustrator and Photoshop, all of the CS3 family. I can develop data driven websites too. For this I'm used to work with ASP and Microsoft Access Database. I have good knowledge about ActionScript, JavaScript, VBScript and SQL languages. I have a good notion of PHP too.

If the client only wants the design of the pages, I develop them using Adobe Illustrator CS3 and the final files will be sent to the client in PSD format.

If the client needs the complete development of the pages I can create all of them from the scratch and complete the job placing all the files into the client's server. The concerns when I develop a website are as following: - All of the pages will be tested to ensure they will work in the most used browsers; - Consistency in the style and layout. Each website has to have its own identity; - The interface and navigation have to be simple and easy to understand; - Emphasis on functionality and practicality; - The pages have to download quickly; - W3C compliance; - Of course the whole website has to be clean, well-structured, well organized and attractive; - All of the code used to build up the pages is checked to ensure we won't have unnecessary things there.

GRAPHIC DESIGN

I have a solid foundation in PAGE & BOOK DESIGN, CATALOG and BROCHURE creation/development. The main softwares I use are InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, all of the CS3 family. As I'm a very experienced illustrator too I can develop any custom graphic the client needs. I'm specialized in LOGO creation and IDENTITY packages as well working with unlimited revisions until the client gets what they need.

I'm very experienced with FLASH PRESENTATIONS and ANIMATIONS too. I can make "static" and interactive animations as well, through the use of ActionScript language.

ILLUSTRATION

My illustration skills include CHARACTER CREATION, TECHNICAL and ARTISTIC ILLUSTRATION. This is the first thing I learned to do in my life and all the other skills I have come after it. Normally all the works I make that doesn't are illustrations have some toutch of it.
