o More than 6 years of experience in System Administration on Linux and Windows environment with esteemed organizations like NIIT and Wipro Infotech (Worked for Income tax Office, Astrazeneca India Pharma Limited, Mistral Software etc.. through Wipro Infotech.) and IBM India Pvt Limited o Responsible for incident management team, problem management on Windows and Linux servers. o Sound and in-depth hands on experience on DNS, NFS, NIS, DHCP, SAMBA, APACHE, SQUID and FTP. o Active Directory, DNS Server, DHCP configuration for Windows 2000 and 2003 domain. o Routine Performance Analysis, Capacity analysis, security audit analysis reports to customer for necessary planned changes. o Client Management Experience, Strong Analytical / Debugging Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Fluid English communication, Good Presentation Skills, Dynamic and Collaborative team player.

o TCP/IP Configuration of Servers and Client: Assigning IP?s, Gateways, Name Servers, netmasks, hostnames, and domain names etc for individual machines and setting up the network. o Setting up NFS Servers with multiple Clients for File and Disk sharing for corporate intranets. o Compiling, Hardening and Customizing the Linux Kernel from the source code to handle additional non-standard hardware and software or if additional functionality is needed to run the system. Example: to access NTFS Partitions, I need to rebuild the kernel with NTFS Support. o Setting up SAMBA servers, to enable windows clients to communicate with Linux without the need of additional software on the Windows side. One could then do away with Windows NT, 2000 Server totally and use Linux SAMBA to handles all of Win2k\?s ADS, PDC and Browsing Master Services. Additionally, all this software is free of cost as compared to the costly Win2k Server alternative. o For Departmental and Corporate Intranets, for localized FTP, set up a secure FTP and Telnet servers for centralizing data procurement. o Configuring NIS/YP server for centralized and secure password and login management, Configuring NIS for secure samba and Apache authentication o For Localized FTP browsing of the entire intranet, sub-net wise setup and an Intranet HTTP and FTP transparent caching proxy server using SQUID, Blocking and monitoring for the web and IP related traffic o Used LVM for dynamically extending and reducing partition sizes as when the need arise o Set up a secure open SSH server, disabling the use of FTP and telnet to increase network security. o Set up Intranet Web Servers with APACHE, multiple-site management with named-based Virtual Hosting and access control with HTTP authentication.
