DETAILS

I have extensive technical knowledge of all printing and dying techniques from silk screen to didgital. Plus IT knowledge such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Office; C.A.D.

During the past four years I have already worked with some of the most prestigious names in fashion, including Christian Dior Haute Couture, John Galliano, Giles Deacon, along with up and coming designers such as Jennifer Nicholson in Los Angeles, daughter of the Hollywood legend. My main role was to create prints and embellishments. I spent this summer in Los Angeles and was commissioned to do freelance projects in related fashion fields including embroidery design for clients such as Victoria?s secrets lingerie. I was thrilled to return to England as I had been selected to exhibit my graduate collection and prints at Futuremap 06, The Arts Gallery, London. The exhibition opened last week and will be on show until mid January. I am honoured to be the sole representative of the fashion pathway amongst 27 other artists from all art mediums, piped as one of the next generation of artistic talent from degree shows 2006 of the six London art colleges. Following my work being seen at this exhibition Rubbish Magazine, has requested my personal opinion to featured in a debate entitled ?Words vs. Pictures? The piece will focus on the views of both leading figures and new faces in the arts and fashion industry, from both sides of the debate, The piece will feature in the 2007 issue. Due for publication in March

My core expertise and achievements lie in textile art. Tutors have praised my innovative use of techniques, suggesting I in fact patent new print techniques I have developed during my time of study whilst experimenting with combining media. Subsequently the Head of St. Martins short-listed me for entry in the prestigious Text Print competion where I would show work at Premiere Vision in Paris; and was also selected to present work to Laura Ashley. One of my print designs became the top selling print from John Galliano?s cruise collection S/S 06. I am also passionate about accessories and illustration, with a track record of excelling in embroideries and embellishments, as well as textile prints. At this juncture, whilst excited by a wide range of career paths, being given the opportunity to pursue freelance work would be seem like a perfect progression from where I have come from, what I have achieved so far, and the direction I look to move towards for the future. I am most passionate about developing my print experience. I have had the honour of tuition from some of the top names regarding print and design the aforementioned, the legendary Celia Bertwell, and Wakako Kishimoto from Eley Kishimoto.

Though I am currently based in London, I am looking for freelance work in textile design, and fashion in Europe & Internationally.
