Diploma project : Worked with Shark Design Studio, New Dehli on a project on Corian by DuPont. The project involved designing of products and accessories for bathroom and living room area using a new material Corian launched by DuPont in India. The products were designed keeping in mind the unique properties of Corian such as flexibility, translucency, no porosity etc, and it?s manufacturing constraints. The project involved extensive research on the possible uses for Corian in the Indian scenario. PROJECTS Worked on ?Pragna?, a sketching device for the blind students. Studied the user group, the blind students, understanding there needs and came up with a new concept for a sketching device for them. Redesigned the INTERFACE of vacuum forming machine. Study of the existing Vacuum Forming Machine, the work flow, the visual feed back, and then redesigned its interface. Redesigned the sample looms (table looms) to make it more productive and ergonomically more comfortable. Worked for Railway food system, especially on platform hawkers to make the system more effective for the user, the owner, and the manufacturer, and for the system as a whole. Made a concept for cart for the hawker in the existing system which will be more effective in many terms like the comfort of the man working directly on the cart, hygiene, mobility and etc. etc. COMPETETIONS Winner, ELLE DECO student designer award 2004 Opus Design- Designed an eye wear, was considered as a winning entry.
