I have been covering German politics as well as major international conferences and summits in Germany, Austria and Switzerland over the past five years. Before 2001 I lived in Iran where I worked as a freelance correspondent for the German news agency DPA, Reuters and the Italian news agency ANSA from 1996 through 2001. A major focus of my work was the Iranian reform movement and the 1999 student protests . I speak, read and write three languages: German, Farsi and English. Furthermore I do know basic French.
